The attorneys in Cosgrave Vergeer Kester's Labor, Employment and Discrimination Practice Group have a broad range of experience defending employers in state and federal courts, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries.  Our experience includes litigating claims under state and federal law involving discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, sex, religion, age and disability, as well as wage and hour violations, FMLA and OFLA violations, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge and retaliation.  We are also experienced in employment-related areas such as privacy, defamation, public accommodations, and interference with contract.

In addition to our litigation experience, we have extensive experience advising and counseling employers on a wide variety of issues that arise in the workplace.  We assist our clients with all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring and firing, discipline, and drafting, revising and updating employee policy manuals and training programs and materials.  Our extensive trial experience helps us to identify and prevent legal issues before they arise, reducing exposure to expensive and time-consuming litigation.

We are committed to providing the highest quality legal services to our employment clients.  Our wealth of experience allows us to do so efficiently and promptly.
